Gary: Landlord of the Flies: July 9: Landlord of the Flies... and not much else

I suggest joining forces in the lawsuit, if that's an option. I don't know when you plan on filing.

Hilarious!! Gary needs to get civilized, but then of course there's no more humor. Gary should check my site out if he wants to start Killin' It though.

Because right now he is definitely not Killin' It.

My vote is to take your litigation to Judge Judy. She will whip him in to shape toot-sweet!
  • Heidi · 5 months ago
I can safely say, from the evidence regarding this guy's attitude about everything, that even Judge Judy would not get through to him.
  • fockgarycont · 5 months ago
Yes! Taking him on one of those shows is the only way you'll get your money back. A small claims court can get you a judgment but with Gary going into foreclosure, you probably won't be able to collect it. But if you file a claim and it ends up on Judge Judy, the judgment will come out of Gary's appearance fee, plus you will get an appearance fee. Just be sure to hit Gary with some harassment charges so you win the max and he doesn't keep any of his fee.

Am I the only person who thinks this is just a mildly amusing story that is 1) either a story being told second hand or 2) a high school kid working on their creative writing & blogging skills at the same time?
  • gdunn02 · 5 months ago
Man, I hope so, because I like to think my writing skills have improved a bit since high school. Sometimes, the truth can be a lot stranger than fiction, hence my use of this in the pun (which I believe to be the most clever part of my blog... with the possible exception of A Farewell to my Armoire).
  • Mildly Amusing · 5 months ago
Well ok then... I guess I WAS the only person who thought that.

    I stand corrected.
  • gdunn02 · 5 months ago
Not enough. I would really like to convince you that you actually NEVER thought that in the first place. In fact, you were VERY amused.

Its my brother... so 1) I assure you it's not second hand... and 2) I believe his writing to be much better than shit in high school... he has a full time job that has nothing to do with writing... yet he tells a story that thousand of people want to follow...

And 3) that's my little brother - so back the F off

Wondering where your replies to this post went? I'm usually not one for censorship, but brotherly love and administrative privileges won out.

That's right Gabe, you sort 'em out! I grade grammar skills as part of my job....certainly don't want to concern myself with it while reading a blog! Only pseudo intellectuals would do that. Can't wait to read the riveting blog (filled with perfect grammar) that "mildly amusing" is surely working on right now! Somehow, I would guess that would really be LESS than mildly amusing.

If it's only mildly amusing to you then why take the time to comment?

Or you could give us a link to your awesome, funny blog about your crazy landlord, but I guess your mom wouldn't want you talking shit about her online.

I'm quite sure that the other tenants will get their deposits back... after all, they didn't break their leases by letting the cops in! LOL
  • Ballons · 5 months ago
I hope all of you get your money back; but it looks like that may be difficult with the house going in foreclosure....bankruptcy may be next. Best of luck!
  • Howard I Know · 5 months ago
Actually, I would assume it means you can all go to court together to get it back.
  • sue me · 5 months ago
You should all file a joint claim.

When did all the other tenants originally move in? It almost sounds like a scam from Gary. 7*500=$3500 which seems like a pretty tidy profit for someone going into foreclosure, and if he's going into foreclosure, I'm assuming he didn't put the rent or utilities towards the mortgage or the utilities.
